2011/12 SEASON GOALS: To finish in the top 3 of the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain IronMan Series, to cross the line and be happy with what I’ve done and to get massive surf at each race, especially Portsea

WHAT’S THE HEAVIEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE SURF? Sliced my arm open and lost ½ of my triceps muscle when surfing at 14. The doctor said I’d never surf or swim again

 

APART FROM IRONMAN RACING, HOW DO YOU EARN A CRUST? Pro Trainer to some of the countries best pro surfers Joel Parkinson along with other pro surfers including the late Andy Irons/Bede Durbidge/Dusty Payne/Mitch Coleborn/Ryan Hipwood and Junior World champ Jack Freestone, Head Coach Burleigh SLSC, Billabong Staff and Junior Trainer

IS ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY FAMOUS? My dad (Peter Berg) played first grade for the Dragons and so did my brother. My wife was Lady Luck on NRL Footy Show

 

DO YOU HAVE ANY FAMOUS FRIENDS: I train Joel Parkinson. Also Luke Egan and Occy. Have previously trained the Gold Coast Titans for two pre seasons through beach training. Good mates with Sonny Bill Williams
