WHAT’S THE HEAVIEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE SURF? One afternoon at training when I was living in Perth we paddled our skis off Trigg point to the outer reef. I was only new to the area and didn’t realise how heavy it broke out there. A wave popped up out of nowhere. It was too shallow to roll so I tried to punch into it. I did that with no luck and snapped my ski in half 5km out to sea. Very scary
